The Momentum of Love

Heather is currently living in the Love146 Round Home. She approached one of the caregivers and said this:

“Outside my school, there are many street children. I was also a street child.  I used to be like them. My daily problem was where to find food. When I grew a little older, I ended up in that job (commercial sexual exploitation), which was the only way to feed myself. But now I have a new life [at the Round Home] and I have found Love and I am so happy. I would like to share my newfound happiness with those children. Their clothes are torn and dirty. They also look very hungry.”

Heather asked if she and other girls in the Round Home could bring these children food and clothing. She wanted to talk with them and tell her story so they might have hope. The girls prepared food from their own garden, went through their closets to gather clothing and collected some of their own toys to give. A few days later they sat on those streets with children of the same age and gave what they could.

Dr. Velazco (Love146 director of aftercare) stated it best:

“They (the girls in the Round Home) are wounded, yet they seek to heal. They are in pain but still they want to give comfort. They have nothing, but they long to give. Why? Because they have found Love. Love generates its own energy. The work of Love expands on its own. You can care for trafficked children, and the momentum of Love that is sparked in them prods them to care for other children at risk.”

Restoration perpetuates abolition. A lovely young girl brings her restored heart back to the streets where it once had been broken, but this time it is not with fear--only with Love.

WOW!!! I am speechless

WOW!!! I am speechless reading her story.

Your story makes me cry tears

Your story makes me cry tears of happiness; that your broken life can be restored again; that there is mercy and goodness and healing and God's pure love. Above all there is Love. I wish for every child and woman trafficed that the mercy of God will find them where they are and somehow, by the Grace of God, save them lead them to a place of healing and safety. And I pray for the men who would use another human being in this way- that they would be turned around; that their sexuality will be restored to health and joy; and that they would cease from desiring another human body in this way. I pray for the law enforecement who would be able to effectivily make a difference in stopping this kind of crime in it's tracks.

This is such a beautiful

This is such a beautiful story. Heather is so brave and is loving so selflessly! It's amazing! It looks like God is working powerfully in the Round Home. You all are so awesome. :D

inspiration

these girls are an inspiration to us all. we all come out on top after being through rough times given the right support and of course, love. i know being through difficult trying times has helped me relate to others and help them, but to see a child reach out the way these young girls did is incredible. absolutely amazing.

wow... this is sooo amazing.

wow... this is sooo amazing. i really want to work with love146 someday.

:)

I'm so glad a organization like Love146 exists because if it didn't than many of these children would be stuck doing that and I mean children are children and deserve to be nothing but that and to be filled with lots of love. I'm touched by all these stories.

Incredible.

All these stories are so amazing, they way they find love and everything, it fills you up with so much hope! All the stories I have read so far have made me want to cry. Love146 is doing an amazing thing, and I wish to show my care and support in every possible way! Much love, prayers, and support from Kenya =D
