On January 4th, Gaz Kishere and Steve Leach from the Love146 European Prevention team set off on a 14 country trek through some of the coldest places in Eastern Europe to visit prevention projects and raise awareness about trafficking in Eastern Europe.
This trek follows the same route traffickers use to transport humans. 99% of European victims are not rescued; prevention is critical.
All funds raised from this trek will go toward the Cross Border Initiative Project which will distribute a bi-monthly youth magazine to at-risk young people across Eastern Europe informing them of the dangers of trafficking. Each magazine costs only $1.50, £1 or €1 to print, the goal is to raise $5,000 by January 14th.
The cost of this trek has been generously covered so every penny raised goes to this prevention project!
